The things that interest me most about English learning/teaching, and how I might turn that into a master's thesis research project
free write. generate ideas
what do i want to learn and teach and share with others
i have to keep writing and thinking about something
* i like the idea of pictures sounds and doing two things at once
*i don't like that when we learn or teach a language we do each thing. each setting each language part. listening. writing. reading speaking as seperate entities.
I think they need to be joined.
When students learn a new word. is it better for them just to learn how to pronounce the word first
should they also see the word.
When the student are writing, the need examples and that is through reading
when they write they can be listening to their classmates speak
I would like to join these parts and see them joined in the classroom
So my class would include the visuals of a scene. the students would watch and listen to the video
and also read the transcript.
but what order do I focus on
what is the most important part
doesn't it depend on the student?
wouldn't it depend on the level you are teaching?
wouldn't it depend on the goals for the curriculum?
